CIRCOT conducted “In- country training programmeon Post-harvest Management and Value Addition of Crop Residue"at Chad underCotton TAP (Technical Assistance Programme) for Africa. It was implemented as per Second India - Africa Forum Summit (IAFS). The objective of this programme was to strengthen the human resource from government R&D, production and extension professionals and entrepreneurs from private sectors for ginning, quality of cotton and utilization of cotton by-products as cottonseed and crop residues.
ICAR-CIRCOT, Mumbai organized a two day self-financed training programme on “Absorbent Cotton Technology” during September 2 - 3, 2015. The objective of this training was to create awareness among entrepreneurs and students about the potential of absorbent cotton and to introduce them to the various processes involved in its production and quality evaluation as per the standards set by Indian Pharmacopeia.
