National Productivity Week Celebrated

As per the directives from the Council, February 12 – 18 every year is to be celebrated as the Productivity week by organising workshops, essay / painting /slogan competitions, debates with a view to spread the message of productivity amongst all stakeholders. The theme chosen for this year's observance was From Waste to Profits-through Reduce, Recycle and Reuse.

To commemorate the week, Dr. A.S.M. Raja, Sr. Scientist delivered a talk on From Waste to Profits-through Reduce, Recycle and Reuse on February 13, 2017 at the Jubilee Hall. Through a power point presentation, he highlighted value addition to cotton biomass for producing particle board, corrugated boxes; briquetting and pelleting for energy generation. On the same day, an essay competition was held on Profit generation from cotton and their by-products for the staff and for skilled support staff on Conversion of Agro waste to useful products in the afternoon.  On February 18, i.e. on the concluding day, prizes were distributed to the winners of the essay competition.
