ICAR-CIRCOT, Mumbai has organized a three day training programme on Advances in Microscopy during January 16-18, 2017 for a total of eight participants. The trainees included students, teachers and researchers. Curriculum included lectures on basics of microscopy and Hands-on training on electron microscopy, light microscopy and atomic force microscopy. Trainees were educated on sample preparation techniques, handling of microscopes and analysis & interpretation of micrographs. As a part of skill development initiatives of Govt of India, three biotechnology students were benefitted by this training programme. Dr. P.G. Patil, Director congratulated all the participants for attending this training programme.
A cleanliness programme has been organized at the institute on 13.01.2017 at Room No. 20 of Yaswant Rao Chavan building. The room was cleaned by the staff members of Chemical and Biochemical Processing division by removing the unwanted materials, condemned equipment, old carton boxes etc.
