Director, CIRCOT, Matunga, Mumbai 400 019, (an Institute under The Administrative
Control of I.C.A.R., New Delhi) invites applications from the eligible candidates for filling
up the following vacant posts at CIRCOT, Mumbai and its Regional Units at Guntur and
Ginning Training Centre, Nagpur. These Posts are of Permanent nature and at present, are
filled on temporary basis. The appointees will be made permanent subject to satisfactory
performance during the Probationary Period.

01. Technician Grade T-3
(Mechanical Processing Division)

i) No. of Post: 1
ii) Reservation: S.T.
iii) Pay Band + Grade Pay:- Rs. 5,200-20,200 + Grade Pay Rs. 2,800/-
iv) Qualifications:- Bachelor’s Degree / Three years Diploma in Textile Technology
or equivalent qualification from a recognized University.
v) Age limit:- 18 to 30 yrs.

02. Librarian Grade T-3

iii) Pay Band + Grade Pay:- Rs. 5,200-20,200 + Grade Pay Rs. 2,800/-
iv) Qualifications:- Bachelor’s Degree in Library Science, B. Lib. or equivalent
qualification from a recognized University.

03. Laboratary Technician Grade T-3 (Q.E.I.D.)

iv) Qualifications:- B.Sc. in Physics / Chemistry / Statistics or equivalent

04. Technical Assistant Grade T-3 (T.I.)

(ARIS Cell)

iv) Qualifications:- Matriculate with atleast one year Certificate from Recognized
Institution in the information technology and relevant field. Knowledge of
Computer operation (Hardware and Software) desirable.
v) Age limit:- 18 to 30 yrs.

07. Technician Grade T-1
(Q.E.I.D. unit at Guntur)
i) No. of Post: 1
ii) Reservation: O.B.C.
iii) Pay Band + Grade Pay:- Rs. 5,200-20,200 + Grade Pay Rs. 2,000/-
iv) Qualifications:- Matriculate with atleast one year Certificate from Recognized
Institution in the relevant field of Textiles with Cotton Textiles as desirable.
v) Age limit:- 18 to 30 yrs.

08. Technician Grade T-1
(T.O.T. Division ) (G.T.C., Nagpur)
i) No. of Post: 1
ii) Reservation: S.T.
iii) Pay Band + Grade Pay:- Rs. 5,200-20,200 + Grade Pay Rs. 2,800/-
iv) Qualifications:- Matriculate with atleast one year Certificate Course (ITI-
Mechanical) from a Recognized Institute.
v) Age limit:- 18 to 30 yrs.

Application form and General Instructions

General Instructions for Candidates:

1. Age Limit: Crucial date for determining the age limit shall be the closing date for receipt
of applications from candidates. There will be no maximum age limit for ICAR
employees. Age relaxation is applicable to OBC/SC/ST/Physically Handicapped
Candidates to the extent permissible under the rules.
2. Relaxation in upper age limit subject to submission of the requisite certificate.
a. By 5 years for SC/ST candidates for vacancies reserved for them.
b. By 3 years for OBC candidates for vacancies reserved for them.
c. By 10 years for physically handicapped (15 years for SCs/STs and 13 years for
OBCs for vacancies reserved for them.

3. Applications for the posts at Sl.No.1 to 7 may be made on plain paper in the prescribed
format given below containing particulars / information duly supported by attested copies
of educational / technical experience certificate etc. The applications complete in all
respects, should reach the Director, Central Institute for Research on Cotton Technology,
Adenwala Road, Matunga, Mumbai – 400 019 within 30 days from the date of
publication of this advertisement. Alongwith a demand draft of Rs. 200/- drawn in
favour of “ICAR Unit – CIRCOT, Adenwala Road, Matunga, payable at Mumbai
400019. No fees for SC/ST candidates.
4. Persons already employed should route their application through proper channel.
5. No. TA will be paid to the candidates called for interview / test.
6. At present, the place of posting is as indicated in the advertisement. However, the same
is liable to be transferred anywhere in India under CIRCOT/ICAR.
7. The appointment under Indian Council of Agricultural Research will be governed by New
Pension Scheme introduced by Govt. of India w.e.f. 01.01.2004 mutatis mutandis and as
amended, clarified or modified from time to time.
8. No correspondence will be entertained from the candidates in connection with the process
of selection/test/interview/appointment. Canvasing in any form will be treated as
disqualification.
9. Separate application should be submitted for each post.
10. Applications at Sl.No.1 to7 should have registered their names in Employment Exchange,
otherwise their applications will not be considered.
11. Applications received after due date for whatsoever the reason including postal delays
will not be entertained.
12. Director, CIRCOT, Mumbai reserves the right to short-list the candidate for
