Hindi Diwas / Fortnight celebration opening ceremony was held on 14th September, 2021 in the Institute. As the program was conducted on virtual mode, all the employees of Ginning Training Center, Nagpur and Quality Evaluation Units at Sirsa, Guntur, Dharwad, Surat and Coimbatore along with former employees of the Institute could participate in this program with enthusiasm.
Dr. Sunil Chavan, Head, Hindi Department, S. N. Arts, D.J. Malpani Commerce and B. N. Sarada Science College, Sangamner, District-Ahmednagar was the Chief Guest. The program started with the Parishad song and followed by lamp lighting by Director Dr. (Mrs.) Sujata Saxena. Dr. V.G. Arude, Senior Scientist & President, Hindi Fortnight celebration committee of the Institute presented the outline of different programs to be held during fifteen day celebration of Hindi fortnight. Smt. Prachi Mhatre, Senior Technical Officer administered the official language pledge of Hindi Day to all and read out the message of Shri Narendra Singh Tomar, Union Agriculture and Farmers Welfare Minister on the occasion of Official Language Day.
Dr. (Mrs.) Sujata Saxena, Director, in her presidential address said that although the Institute is working mainly with scientific and technical research mandate; the scientists are propagating technology developments in popular magazines of Hindi and regional languages. Hindi is equally used besides English as language of instruction during the training programs and in other technology dissemination literature of the Institute.
The Chief Guest Dr. Sunil Chavan stated that Hindi is a connect language of majority population of India and that’s why use of Hindi language in scientific communications is important and should be maximum. He further said that Hindi has roped in the people of India in one cord and has persisted the feeling of national unity among all.
A first competition of Hindi Fortnight program i.e. Poetry reciting competition was organized in the opening ceremony, in which 9 staff members participated. Dr. Sheshrao Kautkar, Scientist delivered vote of thanks. Mrs. Tripti Mokal, Assistant Administrative Officer and in-charge of Rajbhasha Cell compered the program.
