Training programme on “Advances in Textile Characterization” at ICAR-CIRCOT

ICAR-CIRCOT organized a training programme on “Advances in Textile Characterization” during March 16 – 20, 2015. This course was inaugurated by Dr. R.P. Kachru, Former ADG (PE) and Member, Governing Body, ICAR and Dr. P.G. Patil, Director, CIRCOT welcomed the guests in the presence of Dr.A.J. Shaikh, Emeritus Scientist & Former Director, CIRCOT and Heads of Divisions. Nine participants from various organisations namely UAS, Dharwad, Anna University, Chennai, Ajit Seeds, Aurungabad, Cotton Research station, Nanded and UICT, Mumbai.

The course was organized to impart theoretical knowledge and practical skills on textile characterization using advanced instrumentation. Dr. R.P. Nachane, former Head, QEID, CIRCOT, Mumbai, distributed the certificates to the participants in the valedictory function. In his speech, he appreciated CIRCOT for organizing this course and highlighted the importance of Quality systems and testing in the field of agriculture and textiles. This short course was conducted by Dr. N. Shanmugam, Senior Scientist & Head I/C as Course Director and Dr. P.K. Mandhyan, Senior Scientist and  Dr. S.K. Dey, Senior Scientist as Course Coordinators.
